We’ll have live music and $10 cocktails, too, so it promises to be a great night.  Find us at the Tradewinds Hotel from 7:00 pm.

Book online.

President’s post: tradies needed!

June 2nd, 2017

Hi all,

I hope the first part of the football season is going well.  Everyone is enjoying the mostly dry weekends so far.

The good news is there have been no problems at any of our games from parents, coaches, managers and, most importantly, players.  So well done to all, and keep it up!  You are playing within the rules of the game and the competition and you are playing the game in the right spirit.

Remember, it’s all about the fun the kids have.  They look up to us, and it’s important we conduct ourselves in the correct manner.

Anyway, enough of that!

As you are all aware (or if you are not aware), we have received our government grant to commence our long-awaited club extension.  We have also received our building permit from the City of Melville.

I can almost smell the earth moving!

So we are chasing some tradies to price up the work and do the jobs.  If anyone within the club community would like to price the jobs below, please advise:

  • Stonemason – limestone block work
  • Bricklayer
  • Electrician
  • Plumber – relocating water pipes and roof plumber work.
  • Patio Installer.
  • Concretor – Grano hardstand work

If you can help, please contact me ASAP.

Thank you,

Nominate a volunteer of the year

May 29th, 2017

WA Footy has invited Palmyra JFC to nominate a Sunday Times WA Football Volunteer of the Year for 2017.

A nominee:

a) must have given notable voluntary service to Australian Football.
b) must be a willing voluntary contributor, having received no income from football (NB: honoraria accepted).
c) must be an ambassador for the game of football who acts and works for the best interest of the game, never bringing the game into disrepute.

Nominations will close 28th July, with district winners invited to the Sandover Medal night, when the state winner will be announced and awarded a 2017 AFL Grand Final package.

If you have someone in mind, please email Club secretary Katrina Johns, along with a few words explaining why you think he or she is worthy.
